![]() ![]() But this is a huge important difference IMO. ![]() I mean you find a d2 unique what like every 2 hours? You find a d4 legendary every 20 minutes it seems like probably less if you don't suck at the game like I do. I don't look at items when they drop because they drop so often and it's such a chore to do item analysis. In d4, I feel like I run a bunch of stuff, collect a bunch of items (a crapton of items, mind you, because rares are no longer rare) until my inventory fills up. ![]() It's because there's a handful of drops that they're ecstatic to find. People don't do 1000 Meph runs solely because they enjoy it. Later on maybe Tal pieces, maybe HRs, etc. Maybe you're later on farming NM Meph and jump for joy when you see a unique serpentskin armor drop. One of those drops and you either know when you see it on the ground or right when you pick it up. In the early days, you're just hunting around for that thul, amn, 4 os sword, 4 os polearm, that type of stuff. In d2, you often have 2-3 items in your head that would take your build up to the next level. But I'm thinking that more specifically, it's about d4's complexity and dilution. I've been trying to honestly think to myself, why is it that running the same content over and over is fun in d2 but not in d4? I'm not even level 60 and I feel like my eyes glaze over when I need to run another dungeon to get an aspect. ![]()
